• Supervise 7 dispatchers in the Communications Center, including scheduling, supervisory counseling and progressive discipline, and establishing effective performance goals. • Coordinate the responses of the Dispatchers during emergency situations to achieve the desired outcome• Trained Dispatchers to handle emergency situations such as aircraft emergencies and crashes; structural fires; major security incidents, etc.• Training Coordinator for the Communications Center for 10+ years• Plan and train Communications Center personnel for appropriate actions in emergency and non-emergency situations.• Coordinate with other airport units and implement appropriate responses of the Communications Center during emergencies• Assumed Communications Center command during emergencies (aircraft emergencies, security incidents, major Fire or Police calls, etc.) after hours until senior management arrived • During emergencies and other high stress situations, ability to think “outside the box” and react independently of others• Informed the TV and print media directly with information on both emergency and non-emergency situations• Answer and resolve complaints from the public and internal customers of the airport. • Produce clear daily reports, attendance and training logs, and other associated paperwork.• Created and implemented a new training program for new dispatchers.• Researched, developed and wrote training manuals for new dispatchers • Developed, produced and wrote the Standard Operating Procedures for the Communications Center.• Developed new systems and determined the interoperability with the Communications Center and other units• Observe, compare and monitor data, behavior and situations on a daily basis to determine compliance with operational and safety standards.
