• Provide relevant scientific/technical knowledge and expertise for regional colleagues in Operations, Customer Service and Business Development. Work with Operations and Quality Assurance staff to ensure that Bureau Veritas' operational procedures and processes are in line with clients’ scientific and regulatory requirements.• Assist in the evaluation of new technologies and development of new analytical methods and products to support business growth plans. Establish relationships with technology suppliers so that Bureau Veritas is positioned and is recognized as a thought leader in new and emerging technologies that may be critical to the development of strategic business plans.• Compose and compile educational training curriculum in areas of expertise.• Organize, coordinate delivery of educational programs to clients and employees: webinars, tech talks, presentations, etc.• Develop internal and external training materials and collateral: technical bulletins, white papers, research papers, etc.

• Assisting the Manager of Trace Organics (Calgary) in the day-to-day operation of the Division.• Developing programs and methodology for the refinement and optimization of Division activities.• Technical support for analysts within all Division sections (VOC, CCME, and Semi-Volatiles).• Conceptualization, Planning and Implementation of projects geared towards the refinement of Division activities.

• Development and accreditation of the corporate Environmental Chemistry, Microbiology (Bacteriological / Mycological) and Toxicological programs (ISO 17025).• Development and implementation of the corporate Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).• Research and selection of appropriate methodology; method development & validation.• Ensuring adequate resources are available to accomplish client and corporate objectives.• Development & review of contracts to ensure client requirements are met.• Ensuring analysts are appropriately trained and that they attain the required level of proficiency.• Investigation & resolution of customer complaints.• Training of non-technical staff (Quality Assurance Officer, Project Coordinator).• Generation and maintenance of an inventory control system to maintain capital equipment and to track laboratory consumables.• Project proposal generation.• Analytical procedure cost estimation & optimization.• Principal consultant relating to client inquires within public & private sectors (environmental, oil/gas, pharmaceutical, & food).
