Provides technical support (e.g., phone, face-to-face, electronically, etc.) to users for computer systems, hardware, and software supported by the organization. This position monitors and maintains technical equipment (e.g., laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, etc.), computer systems, and networks, including troubleshooting, moving, deployments, configuration, and repairs.Maintains DR (Veeam) Backups to offsite locations. Maintains multiple networks on multiple vLans to route or isolate certain network traffic, using Cisco switches and other devices.

Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.Other responsibilities:Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance.Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.

Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issue.Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.Replacing parts as required.Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports, following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system, supporting the roll-out of new applications andsetting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers.Testing and evaluating new technology;Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Proficient in installing framed, semi-frameless, and frameless shower doors. Also proficient in installing doorknobs, bathroom hardware, closet shelving, blinds, and cutting and edging custom mirrors. Also solid knowledge in operation of a fork lift and shipping and receiving orders.

Servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers and networks. Specific duties entail, installation of hardware and software, data base management, troubleshooting and fixing network and computer errors.

Maintaining and repairing gas turbine engines and auxiliary equipment; working with blueprints, schematics and charts; performing administrative procedures related to gas turbine propulsion system operation and maintenance; performing work area inspections; testing lubricating oil and distillate fuels for contamination, neutralization and precipitation; operating standard test equipment; stopping engines and checking proper performance; replacing and adjusting operating tolerance of contacts, microswitches, relay switches, pressure switches and temperature switches; operating electric plant control and main propulsion equipment; operating pumps, turning gear, air compressors, oil purification system, low pressure air dehydrators and engineering control systems; performing preventive maintenance on ship's fuel system and air system; maintaining sea water service system, waste drain system, oil purification system and manually operated valves; using hoisting and lifting devices and maintaining special tools. maintaining and operating ship's service gas turbine generators and support systems; maintaining and controlling ship's service steam water chemistry; maintaining the controllable pitch propeller system.
