Oversaw SFCG's programming across 11 countries in Asia, specifically supervising offices in Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste. Specifically:- Served on the Global Leadership Team of SFCG, which provides overall operational and strategic leadership;- Oversaw a range of innovative programming in countering violent extremism, governance and security sector engagement. Highlights include a multi-pronged approach to countering violent extremism including in prisons in Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan, television drama in Sri Lanka to address historical memory, civic engagement in democratic processes in Timor-Leste, and security-sector engagement in Nepal- Managed a staff of over 100 people across 11 offices in 7 countries, including program, finance and operational teams;- Led establishment of the Central Asia Regional Program and a new country program in Myanmar;- Oversaw the development and implementation of a $5 million security and justice sector project in Nepal;- Oversaw the development of the Central Asia Dialogue, a track II process which convenes security forces, religious leaders, and key government agencies to foster collaboration among four countries in the region;- Oversaw implementation of a multi-pronged countering violent-extremism project in Indonesia which included work with high-risk prisoners, engagement with the counter-terrorism unit of the police and a wide-reaching youth program to prevent recruitment.- Oversaw the establishment of the Karachi Peace Initiative, an urban-focused violence prevention initiative. - Co-led innovation process to create a Nepali political television drama series, Madam Prime Minister.

Co-founded and directed a multi-pronged peacebuilding program in Nepal during the peace process. - Established the SFCG country office in Nepal during the end of the war, ultimately building it to a national program with a range of programming and over 50 staff;- Served as a member of the Leadership and Management Team of country office. - Designed and executed a strategy to support the Nepal peace process;- Established community-based peacebuilding program in 14 districts across Nepal. Included conducting in-depth conflict assessments, developing relationships with local stakeholders, hiring and training of staff, identification and engagement with local partners, and technical oversight of program implementation.- Oversaw establishment of vibrant media programming which included advanced training program for journalists, production of 3 national radio shows (two dramas and a children’s program), 20 local radio talkshows, and a television drama (Hamro Team);- Served as key proposal writer for all business development, ultimately securing projects from 6 donors;- Served on the UNICEF-led working group for reintegration of children associated with armed forces and armed groups, establishing and executing a multi-pronged communications strategy in support of the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration process; and- Set up monitoring and evaluation system.

Established the Children and Youth Division of Search for Common Ground which went on to play a critical role in the passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security. - Served as a thought leader, aiming to catalyze a shift from viewing youth as threats to security to engaging youth as leaders for building peace and democracy.- Strengthened and rolled out the core methodologies of youth peacebuilding program across the organization and beyond;- Ensured the long-term sustainability of the division by securing core funding which has lasted to the present day;- Provided technical assistance for children and youth-focused peacebuilding initiatives in a number of countries, including: Angola, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, the United States and Sierra Leone;- Co-founded the Washington Network for Children and Armed Conflict (https://www.sfcg.org/wncac/), a network of practitioners, donors and academics;- Served on the team which founded the Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative (www.childsoldiers.org) which brings together military, human rights, and child protection specialists to find innovative approaches to preventing recruitment of children as soldiers.

Worked alongside four founders of a youth-led NGO in post-war Cambodia. during a year where the organization went from a youth club to an official organization. Specifically:- Advised founders and director in all aspects of formalizing the organization as an NGO, including development of mission, vision, core organizational values, and programming.- Co-founded the Youth Leadership for Peace program which still runs after 16 years. - Secured funding to open a youth center and expand programming which still exists today
