As the Embarkation Officer, I created and supervised movement plans for up to 1100 personnel and equipment. This included the inspection and certification of all cargo and passenger manifests within the standards of the United States Marine Corps.

While working for 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, my primary function was to ensure that all of the logistical requests submitted were coordinated and supervised ensuring mission accomplishment. This included long and short range planning and being able to manage personnel. Highlights from this position:• Led, instructed, and evaluated 50 Marines simultaneously from ranks of Private through Staff Sergeant in logistical operations, combat training, and professional development as Marines to maximize productivity• Delivered high impact presentations to senior officials on a weekly basis• Responsible for the accurate tracking of all transportation support requests for over 1100 personnel with 1st Battalion, 7th Marines which required coordination from multiple agencies internal and external to the Battalion• Ammunition, Armory, and Explosives Coordinator accountable for over 5.2 million dollars of ammunition spread to over 14 different locations while being deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan• Procured the Battalions food contract valued at over 325,000 dollars and actively tracked, and distributed the Battalion’s sustenance of over 3,900 meals per day to 14 locations

Planned and executed all organic movements acting as convoy commander; managed the distribution of all motorized transportation assets as well the corrective and preventative maintenance programs. Accomplishments during this time frame include:• Managed 36 Marines in logistical support of a 1,100 Marine Battalion to include the transportation yard containing 98 to 120 tactical vehicles with a value of over $18.5 million dollars.• Supervised vehicle maintenance, parts ordering, and accurate records never exceeding allocated budget expense.• Achieved a 94% readiness level at all times while stationed in Twentynine palms, California and increased readiness from 68% to 98% while deployed in Okinawa, Japan• Attended Safety Officer Course (approved by OSHA) and maintained the Battalions planning of accident prevention programs: reporting, inspections, investigations, training, education, and risk management assessments. There were no violations or finds during 3 separate inspections while located in Twentynine Palms, California or Okinawa, Japan
