As an Engineering Program Manager at Carbon Revolution, I perform the following tasks, in relation to the product development of carbon fibre one piece wheels for the high-end automotive market.-Geometric part design, tool design and layup design, all with a strong emphasis on manufacturability.-Material and structural performance prediction and analysis via FEA tools.-Material and structural performance validation via a broad range of physical tests from a coupon level to the system level.-DV/PV execution from DFMEA content.-EPDM system administrator.

I was a founding member of Boeing Research & Technology Australia (formerly Phantom Works) at the Boeing Aerostructures Australia site in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. BR&T-A supports the long term viability of BAA by developing horizon 2 and 3 technologies for implementation in future aircraft programs. I was responsible for investigating automated carbon fibre reinforcement deposition. This included manufacture, processing, preparation and testing of components, panels and test coupons and documentation, analysis and reporting at all levels. This work lead to the successful submission and subsequent grant of a process patent.

As 787 MRB Engineer, I was responsible for evaluating, analysing and dispositioning discrepant production components across all products of the 787 Moveable Trailing Edge. Numerous tools were employed to validate repairs or discrepant parts. In addition, regular and effective communication was vital.

As a member of the Test Team, I was responsible for designing the flight test systems used to verify in-flight aerodynamic loads in/on the Moveable Trailing Edge of the 787-8. All design work was performed using CATIA and the system was designed, built, and installed on time, with no reported service issues.

I completed my PhD titled; "Crashworthiness of Composite Materials : Manufacture and Modelling" part of which focussed on addressing challenges related to the production rate of composite parts. This work lead to patent for tube manufacture which produced fully cured member in 7 minutes. The tubes were then impacted axially and their performance as energy absorbing members in crash structures was studied. Extremely high specific energy absorption values were recorded, with desirable load-displacement responses.
