Postdoctoral researcher with the Centre for Population Genomics with an interest in combining population genomics and structural biology to improve patient outcomes.Completed my PhD project with the University of Melbourne, Baker Institute (Melbourne) and Bio21 (Melbourne).My research has centred on measuring genetic variation within the human population within gene sequences and protein tertiary structures, and to use this to develop novel tools for identifying likely pathogenic mutations in cohorts of patients with rare genetic diseases. To achieve this I have many years of experience in both R and Python, using both genetic sequence-based information and experimental protein structures.I thoroughly enjoy data analysis, statistical modelling and all things bioinformatics, especially when applying my skillset to human disease.
