I’m a motivated professional looking to launch a new career in web and software development. I graduated from Fullstack Academy, an intensive 6-month bootcamp at Virginia Tech University. In my studies, I learned foundational coding skills from developing RESTful APIs, to structuring databases, to programming functional front-ends with React, JQuery, and more.In particular I : • Wrote adapter functions and API routes for PostgreSQL databases. • Designed stylish frontend with React and standard Javascript. • Worked with JEST unit tests to ensure code performance. • Oversaw project deployments to the web (Heroku, Netlify).I’m passionate about coding because it allows me to flex both my logical and creative muscles in the pursuit of building something helpful for the end-user. I began my career with the US Army, troubleshooting and maintaining essential military assets, including Bradley Fighting Vehicles. While serving, I forged a strong sense of discipline and teamwork that have served me well in every job I’ve held since, and make me an excellent addition to any organization.
