These assignments have included change management and organisational restructures, securing major grants and overseeing the day to day management of the organisations.• I have also provided interim senior management across various disciplines at other environmental organisations, including delivering the final 18 months of a £1.6m Heritage Lottery Fund, Landscape Partnership Scheme. • I have worked with numerous environmental organisations to deliver reviews and feasibility studies. These have included producing reports on potential organisational mergers, new operational structures to deliver greater effectiveness and options and opportunities for the delivery of vocational training across a network of organisations.• I have produced evaluations for four large (all more than £500k) HLF funded projects as well as a 160k Euro, EU, Erasmus+ project. • I have led on the submission of large funding bids (valued between £500k - £3m) to the Lottery and EU Life and Erasmus+ programmes as well as written and submitted various small to medium funding bids (up to £300k) to the Lottery, large charitable trusts and a development agency.

In 1997 I established from scratch a new unit within the charity to manage a single grant fund worth £3.5 million. When I left, the unit was managing five funds worth in excess of £25 million per year and employed 23 staff. In addition to my responsibility for managing and developing the grants unit, from 2000 until my departure I was the senior operational director tasked with overseeing the governance of the charity and at various times also managed other functions, including HR, IT, finance and special projects. I was responsible for overseeing the risk management strategy and internal audit programme and steered the charity through a major period of change. Key successes include:• Overseeing the distribution of £80 million of grants to environmental projects.• Leading two major consortiums to win contracts to manage the two largest fully delegated National Lottery programmes worth £50 million in total.• Playing a leading role in a successful lobbying campaign to secure legislation favourable to RSWT and the wider sector.
