Monorail Pilot
CurrentAs a trainer, I was responsible for ensuring Cast members were properly trained for both platform and drive operations. I also had the opportunity to help with THALES testing, which entailed piloting trains with new software that altered speed zones, hold points, and protections on the trains.- In my tenure as a trainer, I was hand-picked by the COT to assist with implementing Train Me for transportation. This included attending meetings with other modes of transportation, training trainers on the system, supervising the rollout of the system, and troubleshooting issues. That arose.- As an Operations Coordinator, I was tasked with show quality which entailed ensuring all trains and platforms were clean. The TTC and Magic Kingdom stations had the appropriate floor and gate markers and replaced them as needed. I also ensured all our vehicles were vacuumed and washed weekly.- In my tenure as an Operations Coordinator, I was tasked with tracking our efficiency nightly during the Magic Kingdom Park exit. This included counting every guest that boarded the trains, times the trains entered, parked, doors open to close, and then departed. I compiled all this information and entered it into an Excel worksheet that was submitted to industrial engineering weekly.- As a monorail cast member, I was on the safety team where I helped to survey all our equipment and platforms and then I relayed any concerns to leaders. For most issues I put in a work order on Maximo or partnered with engineering, I relayed the concern and work order number to leaders so they could follow up on issues to ensure they were being addressed.
