Senior Software Engineer
Embedded Software Engineer: I have programmed precision time systems that are accurate to 150 nanoseconds of the Global Positioning System’s time. Controlled the frequency of oscillators by way of Phase-Lock-Loops. Decoded noisy radio timing signals called Low Frequency Radio. Computer Languages used are C, assembly, Verilog and some C++. Processors used are 68HC12, ARM7 TDMI and the x86 family. Checked and debug FPGA designs. Coded a network PTP (Precise Time Protocol) packet recognizer and time-stamper written in Verilog. Debugged and added features to Linux kernel drivers. Worked to NTP 4.2.0 and 4.2.4 to add a reference clock to the NTP daemon. Have used source control programs MKS, Perforce and Mercurial.
