As leader of the Finance Project team we implemented a new integrated People and Finance ERP system (Workday), going live on 1 July 2015. Workday was fundamental to Salmats transformation program that enabled an increase to operational efficiencies, improve people management and gain new insights into the profitability of products and services. In a very challenging 6 months the project team delivered the first APAC implementation of Workday Finance & HCM, on time, on budget and to scope.Following go-live of Workday the team focused on transforming the Call Centre/Warehouse Timesheet system, Time Off and Absence for Salmat, Project Time tracking, Billing improvements and Payroll initiatives. All these programs involved using Workday and integrations to operational systems to maximise efficiencies.

Major focus is to provide the business with an IT Services Rate Card using Activity Based Costing (ABC) methodology. Additional responsibilities include commercial support to the CIO, merging other Salmat IT divisions under Group IT, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting.

The Head of Finance role is a key member of the management team, providing commercial and strategic advice to the Division CEO and leadership team. My key focus has been on process and reporting improvements to maximise the synergies from the combination of ten smaller businesses into one division.Major achievements were:- Finalised the consolidation of ten businesses providing product and solution focus combined with a stronger delivery capability. - Completed a Strategic review and business repositioning.- Managed and led the implementation of a new budgeting/forecasting system across the Digital division including new monthly management reporting and product profitability.- Led a team that designed and streamlined the Quoting to Invoice process with a full function Job Management system utilising the Microsoft Dynamics AX application. Significant revenue leakage reduction and increased staff utilisation rates achieved across the Digital division.

Moved across to Salmat following the part acquisition of the Photon Agency division, where I was responsible for leading and managing the Finance function of the Targeted Marketing Services (TMS) Division. TMS was made up Salmats Direct Mail business, SDS (Data), Lasoo, Interactive Digital Results (IDR), C4, BeRetail, Roamz and ReachMedia (NZ).Major achievement included the formation of IDR, which was the merger of Salmat Interactive, Beinteractive, MessageNet and Returnity. At the end of the maternity leave contract the role had expanded and I took on fulltime responsibility for the Salmat Digital division.

Accountable for all financial and commercial support aspects of the Be Group. Working closely with the CEO within two years we managed to:• Take a struggling business and regain focus of the interactive business, taking it from breakeven to an EBITDA margin of 15%.• Set up BeRetail following a successful pitch for the Junior MasterChef licence to design, develop and distribute cooking kits for kids. In four months we went from concept to having 9 SKU’s in-store with four major retailers and an internet distribution site. Over 400,000 kits were sold over a subsequent two year period. My responsibilities included managing the logistics and distribution out of the China factory to the major retailers as well as running the website distribution.• Grew MessageNet SMS volumes by over 30% pa each year • Designed and built a Budgeting and Forecasting model • Implemented a new Job management and Accounting system (JobBag).

(Dual role in addition to be CFO of the Be Group). Following a re-structure the Australian Agencies Division was formed from the key agencies that were part of the Integrated Communications & Digital Division. As the Division CFO I worked closely with the Division CEO and Photon leadership team on commercial and strategic direction, including mergers, acquisition, start-ups and divestment. Major achievement included the successful divestment to Salmat of the Be Group, C4 and Returnity agencies. The sale price reflected the substantial improvement achieved in turning these businesses around.
