As a research assistant in the CBCB, I focused on developing bioinformatics applications to do everything from database interactions, data management, data aggregation, custom analysis and user interaction. This meant developing everything from small applications that query databases or format data to applications that users interact with on a daily basis to working in a team that developed enterprise grade data management systems and tools. My masters research was focused in the area of candidate disease gene prioritization and integrating heterogenous data sources.
