"Putting Children at the centre of everything we do!"Having worked in education as a teaching assistant (old school NTA) Head of various things, Inclusion leader, instructor, Director of KS4,Community Lead, interim head, advisor, consultant and school leader I have come across many young people that are hard to reach, that don’t engage, or have complex behaviours that prevent them from succeeding in their studies. My varied roles taught one thing and that is, you need a lot of people with a lot of knowledge, love and support to be able to support the most challenging children. No one person or organisation has all the answers. Those who say they have are focusing on their own ego not the progress of others. I was frustrated I couldn’t do more to engage with them and wanted to change that. I set up Pivot with the goal to put children at the centre of everything we did. Built on the foundation of strong family values to provide longer term support and give all young people the best start in life. Fast forward four years and Pivot continues to bridge the gaps between the public, private, social care and education sectors, through cutting edge support, early intervention and strategies that support change. We focus on outcomes for children by supporting local authorities, schools, head teachers, parents, social workers and health authorities.I’m surrounded by a fantastic team who are at the top of their game when it comes to education, social care and the corporate sector, from former head teachers, governors to social workers and educational psychologists. Our successes are more about other people’s achievements and how we’ve supported them, and that’s what we measure against.
