I am a Financial Crimes and Risk specialist. I have worked with Defence Bank for approximately 19 years and have been in my current role for approximately 16 years. I manage a team of 8 financial crime mitigation and investigation specialists who operate on a 24/7 rotating roster basis.In addition to monitoring for and mitigating financial crime in whatever form it comes, with our major areas of operation being in Scams, electronic & cyber fraud and card fraud, my role also includes Risk Assessment, AML/CTF compliance, financial crime detection and impact management, internal fraud investigation and mitigation and liaising with both civilian and military police forces throughout Australia in external financial crime matters.
