About Michael Soderman
Upon completing my college education, I began my engineering career as a Production Assistant at Archer Daniels Midland’s Decatur, IL industrial complex; the world’s largest corn wet mill. As a production foreman at ADM, I picked up the unit operation, management, and troubleshooting experience that helped to lay the foundation for my project engineering and management endeavors in the years to come. Early in my career I had served as the process lead on a $15MM+ project for which I was responsible for process design, installation, and commissioning. I also went on to serve as a Process Engineer at American Soda, LLP; a “green field” sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate production plant in western Colorado where I served as Project Manager for a successfully commissioned, first of it’s kind, $2MM sodium bicarbonate purifying system. My years of process / project engineering & management experience includes work in the U.S., Canada, Australia, China, South America, and the United KingdomPresently, I am a Senior Project Manager, Project Management Professional (PMP), with 15+ years of experience in Evaporation and Crystallization water treatment and chemical processing facility design, execution, construction, and startup.
