Michael Soderstrom, M.A., LPC-S is passionate about helping his clients find techniques and coping skills to reduce their OCD symptoms and anxiety by constantly educating himself through The International OCD Foundation, OCD Texas, and other conferences and workshops on the evidence-based treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, phobias, and Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders such as hair-pulling, skin-picking, health anxiety, etc. Michael has been invited as an "OCD Professional Expert"​ for the patient question-answer session at the OCD Texas conferences in Houston in past years. Houston OCD Counseling also offers group therapy for adults in a format where they can learn the tools to beat OCD while sharing and receiving feelings and thoughts with other like-minded individuals suffering from OCD. Houston OCD Counseling offers a seminar for parents with children with OCD titled "Surviving Your Child's OCD: The Seminar". This amazing seminar is two hours long and is given by two Houston area OCD experts. Parents also get to ask questions for thirty minutes following the seminar.
