* Maintained our legacy monitoring solution while researching, planning, architecting, and implementing its replacement.* Wrote ansible playbooks to make provisioning and recovery of internal DNS and DHCP a simple and safe task.* Help plan and build systems (storage + api + webui) to allow Software Engineers to request SSL certificates, namespaces within our internal Kubernetes clusters, and AWS accounts as the company looks to move into the cloud.* Admin work to ensure our kubernetes clusters are up-to-date and healthy.* Ensure all servers, virtual machines, and network devices in all of our data centers are healthy and security best-practices are being followed. Software Engineer

Amherst, Massachusetts, Us

At Lexalytics I was a developer on a Microsoft Excel plugin (C#) that utilized our own text analytics API to help companies better understand what people were saying about their products. While working on this project I planned and executed UX redesigns on multiple aspects of the plugin, I optimized the local database schema, I worked to remove dependencies on third-party software, and I created a pipeline between our Web client and the Excel plugin to make a simplified and unified user experience. I was also responsible for developing python, java, and .net SDK's for a revamped API. As of February 2017, I was the only engineer actively developing and debugging this project for two years giving me experience in product management and ownership.I was also working on a project to create an On-Premise version of our cloud-based service, Semantria. We used Docker to deploy and maintain this service and used Chef for configuration management.

Visiting Scholar

Melbourne, Florida, Us

For three months I worked as a student researcher at Florida Institute of Technology. The goal of my research was to utilize machine learning techniques to classify objects in aerial GiGER mode LiDAR data represented as 3D point clouds. The programs developed were mostly in MatLab. At the end of this project we wrote a project summary that was submitted to machine learning journals for publication.During this time, I learned how to work in a team environment, as well as how to work in an unsupervised capacity – only checking in with our project manager once a week for about an hour. I developed my skills in conducting independent research and communicating those findings to my team members and supervisors in a simple and concise manner. I also learned how to write a professional paper.

Student Consultant

Wooster, Oh, Us

I was a student consultant for three months for Goodyear Tires through an internship program called the Applied Mathematics and Research Experience program (AMRE). During this time, I worked in a small team developing a program that would estimate the shape of the perimeter of a tire’s footprint while going through a turn. This software is used to model how different tire treads function in various road conditions without having to make the tires are road test them. The program was developed in C++ and used OpenGL for the graphical components.During this internship I learned how to work in a team to solve large problems, as well as how to adapt to volatile project definitions, end goals, and feature requests. I also learned valuable research skills as I had no experience creating GUIs or with OpenGL prior to this program. One aspect of this project I am extremely proud of was the GUI we designed that allowed users to drag/manually manipulate input points and would update the footprint model in real time. This was something we designed and proposed ourselves that the customers at Goodyear were very enthusiastic about.
