SignedPic is a startup that provides photo authentication services for lawyers. I initially joined as an intern through my bootcamp and was extended after the 5-week assignment due to my contributions. Work included: • Developed a web-based React app with a Firebase-integrated drag and drop system for efficient file management.• Contributed to development of a document storage feature that enabled grouping of documents on a per user basis.• Facilitated seamless data storage and retrieval in the Firebase database.• Collaborated effectively with other developers using Git. • Resolved an issue related to continuous database updates using useMemo so updates only occurred upon changes.

Nombolo is a social media startup that connects local businesses with the community. I was assigned to Nombolo through my bootcamp program for a 5-week engagement. Work included:• Collaborated with the design team to implement website updates in React based on design specifications.• Enhanced website functionality for seamless user experience across both mobile and desktop platforms, incorporating dynamic elements that respond to the user.• Utilized Git for version control and seamless teamwork with remote teams.

During this time I studied at Epicodus, a programming bootcamp located in Portland, OR. Epicodus is a 20-week program focused on helping students learn programming fundamentals, Git, and tools for collaboration and remote work. The program includes week-long team projects.My project work (see my GitHub linked above) included projects in Python, C#, React, and a game built in C#/Unity.

Emmanuel Home Health Services is a provider of care services for the elderly or disabled. After graduating from Maryland I joined my family's healthcare business as CFO, but my focus was on day-to-day operations of the business. I managed payroll for over 500 employees and handled onboarding and employer tax filings. I also assisted in managing and organizing Medicaid care of plan agreements for many of their clients as well.During this time I also contributed to the launch of Emmanuel Adult Medical Daycare as a care services provider in a dedicated facility with transportation services. For this business I set up reporting systems to track attendance, trained staff, and managed technology issues. We had >100 clients and ~ 30 FTEs when I left to pursue my programming career.

A programming boot camp where pair programming is encouraged, and the focus is on real world coding. The course goes through HTML, Git.
