I hold a PhD in molecular biology, Life Sciences, with roots in explorative research in the field of cancer and metabolism. From my PhD I have gained some handy skills:- Excellent communication skills to share the knowledge that I cherish gathering.- Biochemical characterization of molecular mechanisms involving RNA and proteins.- Publication writing- Statistical modelling (NGS transcriptomic data analysis in R).- Problem-solving through methodically gathering knowledge- Focus on the task aheadI have a passion for communicating complex science. Therefore I have undertaken several scientific teaching experiences and a position as a disseminator in natural history. It has given me:- A talent for asking the right questions to understand the problem, as a prerequisite for solving it. - Stakeholder management- Working in interdisciplinary steering group- Coordinating team efforts- Systematizing daily operationsAs a molecular biologist I have extensive knowledge within cell biology, biochemistry, physical biochemistry, human physiology, proteomics. Moreover, I have hands-on experience with eukaryotic model organisms, cell cultures, HPLC, MS, flow cytometry, and an endless line of biochemical assays involving DNA-techniques and RNA- and protein analysis. As a person, I get excited about obtaining knowledge that can support my colleagues and help achieve something greater than myself. I have attended gymnastics through half a lifetime with 5 years as a elite gymnast. This has made me a solid team-player with loads of social intelligence and a cheering attitude.
