Research topics of my group range from the design and synthesis of functional polymers for energy conversion and storage, mechanoresponsive polymers and recycling strategies of conventional polymers. Examples are polymer batteries, membranes exhibiting selective ionic transport and organic solar cell materials. We are largely synthetically working and particularly interested in defects and understanding structure-property relationships. We collaborate with a number of groups across the globe to address the interdisciplinary nature of these applications.
