Michael is a shareholder and principal in the law firm Chadwick, Washington, Moriarty, Elmore & Bunn, P.C. and practices out of the firm's Richmond (Glen Allen) office. He joined the firm in 2011 and represents primarily common interest community, homeowners, condominium, and civic associations. He provides legal assistance to clients regarding all aspects of community association law, including advising board of directors in their day-to-day operations, reviewing contracts, drafting governing documents and amendments, as well as enforcement of covenant violations, addressing fair housing complaints, collection of unpaid assessments, construction defect litigation and dispute resolution.Michael is a past president of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (“CVC-CAI”) and the Southwest Virginia Chapter of the Community Association Institute ("SWVA-CAI"). He currently serves on the CVC-CAI Board of Directors and SWVA-CAI Board of Directors. He is also a frequent presenter at CAI events on a local, regional, and national level.
