• Application of a python based computational software, GerryChain, to help draw unbiased redistricting maps that conform to the specific redistricting rules of a state of interest. • Worked with a project lead, data scientists, and other interns concerning parameters of the software to create a GerryChain Guide and study the district maps of different states. • Attended remote software workshops involving Unix Shell, Git and Github, and Python. • Using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud for data analyses, presentations, and documentations. • Worked along side interns and data scientists to generate a website through GitHub to document project output and the tasks completed throughout the internship. • Using Spyder software to locally set up GerryChain and generate output. • Locally processing data analysis through python notebooks. • Attended meetings involving different stakeholders concerning the impact of project output and its targeted audience. • Met with other data scientists from nonprofit panels to learn about different aspects of the field. • Worked with other interns on multiple presentations concerning project output throughout the program. • Participated in zoom breakout rooms for remote work and project discussions.
