o Responsible for oversight of administrative and customer service functions of employee health benefits providing daily support to the function as well as suggesting process improvements for enhanced benefits administration and benefit services to employees in compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and ACA. Function as a Subject Matter Expert for Jefferson’s Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts plans, and administration of COBRA, and ACA.o Serves as primary staff support to the Manager, Employee Benefits in all areas of health and welfare benefits including project management, resolution of employee benefit issues, competitive and financial analysis, design, employee communication and work flow/systems issues; provides support and guidance to customer service or benefits specialists/assistants where more detailed and investigative knowledge is needed.o Utilizes frontline knowledge of employee issues to participate in benefit strategy and planning discussions; interfaces with insurance carriers and consultants in areas such as premium payments, contractual issues, enrollment, and eligibility and claim issues; conducts research, including data analysis and/or the gathering of contextual and competitive information, to effectively respond to issues in any area related to the various plans.o Researches and resolves employee benefit issues including eligibility/enrollment problems, claims issues, and informational inquiries; provides monthly and annual statistical reports as required to supply HR metrics on things such as benefit costs, employee enrollment and utilization and HR services; coordinates annual Employee Benefits Fair and Open Enrollment preparation and ongoing activities (with support of Manager, Health and Welfare Benefits.)
