In this role, I directed the delivery of 24x7 cloud and on-premises infrastructure and operations services. As part of this process, I set strategy and defined multi-year IT roadmaps. While in this role, I defined and implemented hardened operating system configurations for Windows and UNIX according to CIS standards. In addition, I managed a $17M internal IT budget along with 54 employees/ 12 contractors. A few of my successes in this position include:► I reduced the time required to patch the key infrastructure from every quarter to every month by initiating a formal process for remediating the infrastructure and automation.► I implemented Okta for identity and access management, and I introduced security governance using Prima Cloud in AWS.► I created a business case and roadmap for modernizing the NetJets infrastructure by migrating to the AWS Cloud.► I transformed the organization from a traditional siloed structure to cross-functional teams. Retrained infrastructure and operations teams on Cloud and DevOps technology and principles with a strong focus on training and certification, including 90%of the team becoming AWS certified. ► I led the NetJets DevOps transformation initiative at NetJets. Drove down the time to provision new infrastructure and applications from days to minutes by implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code. ► I completed the rollout of Office 365 to the enterprise and jumpstarted increased collaboration across NetJets business units using Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.

In this job role, I created current and future-state enterprise architecture proposals aimed at addressing critical business needs in three areas: customers, crew members, and vendors. As part of this process, I focused on the customer journey, pain points, and technology opportunities. I also developed technology roadmaps for decomposing legacy monolithic applications into Web applications and microservices. I furthermore led the adoption of DevOps frameworks and principles for managing the cloud infrastructure as code. All in all, I managed a $4M budget in this role. A few of my successes in this position include:► I drove the adoption of cloud technologies, including leading the NetJets Cloud Steering Committee and the Cloud Center of Excellence.► I introduced automated security monitoring and alerts into the NetJets AWS cloud environment.► I managed a team of 11 enterprise architects, application architects, and infrastructure architects.

In this job position, I introduced cloud big data concepts to NetJets, and I led big data POCs for Azure and AWS. I also created a security program and introduced the concept of threat modeling. While in this role, I furthermore drove down licensing costs and prepared the company for the cloud by transitioning the application infrastructure from WebSphere/AIX to Tomcat on Linux. In addition, I helped to define the project scope and technical architecture for a customer master data management project. As part of this process, I introduced the concepts of data subject areas, data quality metrics, data modeling, and data stewardship into the data management program. I additionally introduced modern Web frameworks, such as AngularJS and React, to create single-page applications. I managed internal technology mini-conferences and personally presented on various technology and security concepts in this position as well. A few of my other successes in this role include:► I led the selection and introduction of a new data integration platform based on Informatica Powercenter and Data Quality. I managed the new Informatica team through the implementation stage and the first year of the rollout.► I created a Web UI Center of Excellence team to lead the introduction of a common UX design process and a consistent style guide.► I led a team of seven enterprise and application architects.

In this job role, I stepped in and managed a multimillion-dollar project to introduce a new trip booking system when the team was left without a manager. While in this position, I led the introduction of the company’s SOA. I also designed versioning, routing, and security policies for services using Layer 7 ESB. I additionally developed core technology themes to support specific business initiatives. All in all, I worked collaboratively with 15 employees in this role. A few of my other successes in this position include:► I designed and developed a five-plus-year, $6M project to automate the complete order to pay cycle for catering, ground transportation, fuel, and international services. ► I created a defect triage and prioritization process.► I helped to create the company’s Agile development practice over the span of two years.
