Responsible for the operational support of the datacentres and associated workloads across the Asia Pacific region, and leading a team of system and desktop engineers providing high quality IT support to the business. Responsible for architecting IT solutions based on business requirements and/or challenges, and ensuring solutions exceed expectations and are delivered to plan and budget. Required to manage budgets and contracts for 3rd party services, and ensuring SLA’s are met across the estate.Duties:• Management of a team of engineers providing IT support across the Asia Pacific region for server, SAN and desktop environments.• Part of the management structure for IT Operations globally, ensuring the adherence to standards and representing the region in decisions regarding strategy.• Architecting and implementing IT solutions globally, responsible for business case creation, financial control and project management.• Driving forward risk reduction initiatives within the existing environment to reduce risk and improve RPO/RTO.• Capacity management of the environments, ensuring correctly forecasted expenditure in the right areas at the right time.• Managing the production and disaster recovery datacentres within the Asia Pacific region, as well as branch office virtualised environments/datacentres• Creation of technology standards; from Server build standards to new technology architecture solutions• Creating, designing and supporting the private cloud infrastructure (based on VMWare), from large host clusters through to branch office designs that are highly available and resilient. • Providing strategic leadership to ensure IT is always best placed to meet the needs of the business• Managing contracts and procurement of IT services, as well as maintaining supplier and vendor relationships.• Management of network topology and teams supporting LAN and WAN and firewall environments.
