Michael began fundraising for higher education more than two decades ago. He serves as AVP of Advancement at CGU. Previously, Michael served as director of Annual Giving at Connecticut College where he has helped lead teams to two record fundraising years while increasing alumni participation. Before Conn, he served for seven years as director of Community Development and Annual Giving in the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement at Pomona College, and increased the Annual Fund by more than 15% from 2015-20 while building the infrastructure to feed a capital gifts pipeline. Prior to Pomona, he worked at Pitzer College as the director of Annual and Leadership Giving, where he helped boost total contributions to the Pitzer Annual Fund by more than 30%. He has used multi and social media strategies to build sustainable resource engines and increase participation from core constituents. Additionally, he has led Senior Class and Faculty/Staff Giving Campaigns that have been ranked #1 among liberal arts and science colleges nationwide. Michael has also managed annual giving and coordinated community support groups at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His work included Art Center's 75th Anniversary Gala that raised $2MM in one night for student scholarships.
