Responsible for managing and providing strategic direction to the Engineering Operations Department. My team own and operate GMP critical services plants for all facilities at the Broadmeadows site and we are responsible for the quality of the products delivered from these plants. The Engineering Operations team also provides critical engineering support for all manufacturing areas to resolve process plant issues and reduce manufacturing downtime.

Responsible for overseeing the design, commissioning and final sign-off of all the Process Services, Mechanical Services and Utility Plants for the new $140M Privigen Project at CSL Behring Broadmeadows.Formulating Project Design and User Requirements Specifications for tender submissions. Liaising with several contracting firms to finalise preliminary design concepts, functional descriptions and costing for tender submissions.Responsible for overseeing the design, commissioning and final sign-off of all the GMP Process Services, Mechanical Services and Utility Plants for the new $80M Cell Culture Project at CSL Broadmeadows.

Responsible for the entire maintenance function of all assets at CSL Bioplasma.Leading the strategic direction of the Engineering Services Department. Formulation and implementation of 5 year Strategic Plans, yearly Operational Plans and active involvement in off-site Strategic Planning sessions. Management of over 45 staff personnel, including Senior Maintenance Engineers, Senior Process Engineers and Maintenance Technicians.Responsible for reviewing major capital projects design and commissioning activities, to ensure delivery of reliable, robust and maintainable plant equipment for Production use

Analysing equipment/machinery failures and implementing maintenance regimes to prevent those failures re-occurring. Continually improve maintenance regimes using programs such as TPM, RCM, PMO and Condition Monitoring.Direct Supervision of 2 Maintenance Engineers, 1 Contract Supervisor and 17 trade technicians who maintain the plant and equipment on site.

Plant Owner responsible for monitoring and operation Level 1 Critical GMP Services Plants, including Special Waters, Central Refrigeration and Brine, Air Handling Plant, Plant Steam – Boilers, Cooling Towers, Cold Rooms and Freezers. Responsible for monitoring operational parameters and ensuring safe and efficient operation on a 24 hr basis.

Coordinate Predictive Maintenance routines with the use of vibration monitoring. Supervision of other maintenance engineers and tradesmen for the various maintenance issues/projects that arise with plant equipment.

Directly assisting the Project Engineer in an additional bagasse fired steam boiler installation. This capital project involves site layout, surveying, and existing boiler interconnections such as feedwater, compressed air, ash systems, boiler fuel conveyors, etc.
