- Worked within the underwriting division of the pharmacy benefits manager developing a new application to quickly forecast the profitability of clients. Gained extensive knowledge on the PBM business and helped product owners determine the business requirements for typical drug pricing, specialty drug pricing, and rebates on drugs, as well as financial guarantees made to clients.- Lead development of microservices API written in a Python implementation of the Azure Durable Function framework that connected to a MySQL database. Performed development work to support new business use cases, including supporting EGWP clients, clients with multiple pricing strategies, and new calculations needed for accurate results. - Developed linear programming algorithm which enabled underwriters to receive more accurate revenue results for generic retail and mail drugs. The algorithm worked to select the optimal MAC pricing strategy by looking to maximize revenue generated in each channel while minimizing the amount owed back to clients. Code was written in NumPy and SciPy.- Designed and implemented an activity orchestration system in ADF accompanied by a new caching system which enabled optimallyrunning calculations operating on different datasets in parallel, while also reducing redundant calculations. Utilized Redis to handle sharing information between processes, killing redundant activities, and creating locks around potentially conflicting database queries.- Architected and lead migration of a Kotlin Spring Boot API from PCF to Azure Spring Cloud. Determined which Azure Services to utilize to minimize costs and increase developer productivity. Created new deployment files through Jenkins to maintain a solid CICD process. Modified existing Kotlin code to meet new requirements and utilized JPA to pull data from the shared MySQL database.

- Architected and developed a framework for detecting anomalies in large datasets by comparing ingested profiling stats to historical data. Developed database documents for storing generated results as well as developing APIs for users to quickly retrieve results. Delegated defined assignments to colleagues to complete the feature on time.- Worked with product and development teams to develop and groom new feature requirements and address existing technical debts. Helped size stories and determine which developers were best suited to implement features.- Wrote APIs in Spring Boot that interfaced with Couchbase and MySQL, using the Couchbase SDK and MyBatis, respectively. Developed database indexes and query optimizations that dramatically reduced API response time. Added functionality to track all API requests in order to quickly determine production issues. Migrated APIs from Node.JS to Spring Boot.- Performed development and maintenance of existing Spark applications. Added new statistics to be calculated when running Spark jobs, enabling users to have more accurate data quality checks.- Performed development and maintenance of team’s React frontend application. Added additional functionality to existing UI and fixed bugs reported by users. Modified API calls to retrieve new datasets.- Led review of new pull requests into the team’s repository and assisted new team members with submitting code to meet organization's standards. Developed clear standards that new pull requests had to follow in order to be merged. Created multiple onboarding videos with associated documentation to help newly hired developers quickly get up to speed on the project.

- Wrote APIs in Java Spring Boot that interfaced with Couchbase for retrieving information on Data Quality.- Developed necessary N1QL queries and indexes for the APIs, along with helping in refining the JSON structure of the documents stored in Couchbase.- Developed Proof of Concepts for Vert.x and GraphQL, and implemented a GraphQL API into production.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

- Constructed unit tests in C++ and C for classes and namespaces in embedded software and provided documentation detailing unit test functionality.- Migrated mock files from local directories to a global directory to allow unit tests to share mocked functions and eliminate duplication of these functions.- Development was done in a Linux environment using Eclipse IDE, shell commands, and bash scripts.
