I am responsible for the day to day management and work of Springer Nature’s highly respected Journals Communications team. The team achieves global media coverage of the research we publish (in journals in the Nature, BMC and Springer portfolios), providing a much regarded author service which in turn provides a halo effect to the business as whole, enhancing the community’s perception of Springer Nature and our role as a publisher of trusted information.

I manage the international team responsible for the communication of the Nature Porfolio of journals from a content press and publicity perspective. This includes handling reputational issues, and supporting the broader Springer Nature communications strategy.

I was responsible for managing the press-related activities for Nature Communications (our flagship open access journal). My other responsibilities included line management of the Communications Officer based in Shanghai and, prior to that, the management of our Communications Coordinator.
