My initial interest in the field of Orthopedics began after undergoing surgery myself in high school for a severe knee injury. I had a full return to sports activities after successful surgery and rehabilitation including windsurfing and snowboarding. It was after this experience coupled with my interest in science and medicine that led me on a career path towards orthopedics and sports medicine. After completing orthopedic residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University I completed two fellowships in specialty training. The first in Orthopedic Trauma at Rhode Island Hospital and the second in Sports Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. My main interests in Orthopedics include arthroscopic shoulder rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization procedures, knee anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage repair procedures as well as hip and knee replacement surgery.
