Applying computer vision to address problems in agriculture, specifically:- Stacked data-focused (cycleGAN) and architecture-focused (gradient reversal) domain adaptationto improve generalization of models trained on biologically realistic synthetic data.- Applied foundational and diffusion models to agriculture for annotation and data generation.- Designed and led experiments supported by two graduate students.

At PD we generate synthetic data to improve computer vision models and pipelines in autonomous driving and other industries. I spend my time building 2D and 3D vision models to take advantage of synthetic data, and finding ways to improve our data generation. I also work on cutting-edge 3D reconstruction techniques to build more realistic synthetic worlds. I spend most of my time on autonomous driving but have also worked with drones and other CV-enabled devices.

I focus on improving computer vision models with synthetic data. Our team works on 2D and 3D object detection and semantic segmentation, as well as other CV tasks such as depth estimation and optical flow. I work extensively with both camera and LiDAR data. We also work on improving synthetic data with computer vision through a variety of domain adaptation techniques.
