My teaching philosophy is that all students are entitled to a safe and positive learning environment that is learner-centred and provides them with opportunities to be constructive, active, lifelong learners. I will always ensure my students are reflective practitioners and encourage them to see how learning experiences relate to them individually, as well as, the world around them. As a teacher and a leader, it is also important to be a positive role model and support students throughout their studies. I foster a culture that is inclusive and will support student’s wellbeing. This will help make students feel more comfortable to take risks in their work and develop new skills. The school community I am in will be a student-centred democratic one that provides students with a voice and greater responsibility for their own learning.
