Actuary role within the Actuarial department's Projections Center of Excellence, supporting several business units with a primary focus in the Individual Life Insurance business. As a member of the Capabilities team, our purpose is to connect Actuaries in valuation and forecasting roles with capabilities to assist in solving their problems.Establish and compile business requirements for GGY Axis model redesign for Individual Life Insurance business, receiving feedback from Actuaries in valuation and modeling roles along the way. Provide testing strategy details for this project, seeking out experts as needed. Serve as tester in user acceptance testing phases of the project's workstreams, including for assumptions and for the calculation engine.Design and implement solutions for model users in valuation and forecasting roles, using a variety of tools for development, including Excel, MS Access, VBA, and SQL, among others. Contribute to the creation of a user-friendly enterprise AAT forecasting model.Facilitate and engage in regular discussion between the Individual Life Insurance Closed Block stakeholders from Actuarial and Finance to achieve overall enterprise goals for forecasting. Ask meaningful questions to map out and understand the Closed Block process to build our team's knowledge base.Leverage best practices across the enterprise in regards to the tools and processes used by Actuarial's teams. Consult with various stakeholders in Actuarial, and contribute important ideas to those discussions about best practices.
