About Michael Stettler
I am passionate about artificial intelligence and neuroscience. Especially by the way we interact with it. I am currently doing an internship at AWS, where I work to improve the fairness of foundational models.I am a PhD student enrolled at the Max Planck for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS), where I have investigated the perception of social perception with an emphasis on dynamic facial expressions.This project led me to develop highly data-efficient models that perceive facial expressions closer to human perception, where I got experience in computer graphics to create my stimuli. Previously, I have graduated from EPFL as a bioengineer focusing on neuroscience.
