Hello, my name is Dr Michael Storch. I am a prominent Board Certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. I have extensive experience in the health care industry and an established reputation as a medical leader who delivers compassionate, quality patient care. During my career I have received multiple awards and acknowledgements for outstanding patient care. After completing a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, I then completed a three year plastic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College Hospital/ Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New York City. I was a chief resident for the Burn Unit and the Hand Service and I received a Chief Resident award for a publication on "The Burned Hand". I subsequently established a very fine private practice with a reputation for excellence and outstanding patient care in Miami Florida. I am a past president of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons.Sadly, in 2016 I sustained a hand injury that left me with a slight limitation of use of my left hand. This was, however, enough of an injury to prevent me from practicing as a plastic surgeon. For the past four years I have been working as an Office Surgery Inspector for The American Association of Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF).Due to my passion for patient care and my interest in wound care and patient management I have recently become Wound Care Certified. My intent is to now use my knowledge, training and experience to provide consultation and excellent care for patients with wounds and certain other plastic surgical issues. My colleagues will tell you that I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to build quick rapport and trust with patients and their families. I am also known for my ability to coach and mentor clinical staff for career growth and success.My key areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, wound care including staging, debridement and dressing management.
