Michael Stout joined Stout Law in 2018 after moving with his wife and daughter back to his hometown of Ashland, Oregon. Michael graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law at the top of his class and worked for three years at the international law firm Perkins Coie LLP in its Portland office, where he specialized in business law and counseled clients ranging from early startups to large publicly traded companies. Michael’s previous work focused on complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, debt and equity financings, venture capital, and private equity investments.Prior to returning home to Oregon to attend law school, Michael served for two years in the Peace Corps in rural Ecuador where he worked with local farmers to construct irrigation systems and develop sustainable organic coffee farming practices.
