    Upon deployment to Namibia, I was responsible for the USAID-funded project, "Combatting Wildlife Crime Project (CWCP) that aims to increase rhino numbers in Namibia, reduce poaching of elephants and increase their range expansion in selected areas of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola. Improving law enforcement and community development are key focus areas. I succeeded in gaining approval for hi-tech solar water systems that are currently byproduct fresh water to remote rhino ranger camps in the arid NW corner of Namibia. The solar water systems are improving the lives of rhino ranger who walk many kilometers everyday, reducing resupply trips and reducing the carbon footprint.
