Here's a detailed overview of the responsibilities and expectations for the position:Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Liaison:Serve as the primary contact for U.S. and international government agencies related to export and import compliance. This includes entities such as the NRC, CNRC, BIS, DHS, and US Customs and Border Protection.Handle communications, inquiries, and documentation required for compliance with these agencies.ELM:Oversee CIL’s deuterium export licensing program, including preparing and submitting new license applications, revisions, and ensuring compliance with NRC regulations.Monitor deuterium exports to ensure adherence to licensing requirements and assess end-user applications when necessary.Compliance Coordination:Interface with internal and external stakeholders—including customers, foreign subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers, and carriers—to ensure that all import/export activities meet regulatory standards.Conduct regular compliance audits and self-assessments to identify and rectify any compliance issues.Training and Development:Develop and implement training programs for international distributors to ensure they understand and comply with regulatory requirements.Educate CIL employees on their roles and responsibilities regarding the production, storage, and sale of products, including conducting internal awareness sessions.Customer Screening:Establish and manage a customer screening process to ensure that all buyers of regulated products comply with applicable regulations, whether purchasing directly from CIL or through distributors.Regulatory Compliance:Act as the primary point of contact for REACH (requirements, ensuring that CIL complies with these European regulations.System Integration: Show less
