I enjoy building long lasting relationships with clients based upon values of enthusiasm, trust, team-work and ambition. My approach is straightforward: it is important to enjoy work and life, and the most rewarding part of being an adviser is to help people in achieving their goals whether they are business owners or directors, charity managers and trustees, colleagues or friends.I work with private businesses and their owners, finance directors at companies in larger or listed groups, professional partnerships, charities, and regulated businesses. I bring people together into a cohesive team so that clients enjoy a joined-up service across all areas of advice. Our core services are accounting, business advisory, taxation, trusts, audit, and corporate finance.As well as being an experienced Chartered Accountant I am a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser. A key strength of mine is delivering advice across often complex areas in a clear and understandable way. I like to remove unnecessary complexity and jargon as I think this works best for busy clients who want to resolve issues quickly.My audit clients range from SMEs to international groups and I am the firm's National Audit Partner. In recent years I was the regional staff partner responsible for four offices. As part of the firm’s People Strategy Group I led the development of our Wellbeing Strategy.In addition to my client work I sit on the board of trustees for two charities. I am a keen musician and composer and I enjoy playing gigs with a local rock band.Since joining Saffery it has been great to help in developing many people’s careers, with the Bristol office growing from 25 people in 2004 to around 100 now. We enjoy working together to give unequalled levels of service - we want people to have the best experience with their professional advisers. We believe it is important for clients to benefit from excellent team continuity, advice from staff who have a genuine enthusiasm for what they do, transparency around fees, getting things done on time and high levels of responsiveness.My own ambitions include continuing to be a trusted adviser to clients and to be a key part of the journey, whether it is helping to shape future objectives, or by simply giving peace of mind that compliance affairs are very well taken care of. I am always keen to make new contacts with businesses, charities and other professional advisers to share experience and to build relationships.
