Director of Cultural Resources Program, Texas Parks and Wildlife DepartmentI manage the day to day operations of a statewide cultural resources program which conducts archeology, architectural analysis and repairs, historical research, and curates the state's historic objects. The archeologists review projects for compliance with state and federal antiquities laws as do the preservationists. We concern ourselves with historical integrity of our properties including cultural landscapes of the state historic sites and parks. I coordinate historical, architectural, and archeological research with a staff stationed across the state. Our curators care for historic collections, create interpretive exhibits, create interpretive trunks, and manage 80,0000some objects for the state. I create and manage agency policy, budgets, analyze proposed legislation, and manage strategic planning regarding cultural and historic resources across the agency.
