- Serves as a liaison between our center and non-profits and or our community.- Provides prompt and efficient customer service to nonprofits, NKU students/faculty/staff, and the community.- Planning events and programs on and outside of campus including our annual Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project Celebration, where we allow students in our philanthropy classes award donations to non-profits. - Aids in the hiring process of new employees by conducting interviews and completing hiring paperwork before sending them off to be processed by HR.- Manages budgets and runs annual reports.- Proofreads and edits documents and publications for department. Recently completed editorial work on our center’s handbook for university faculty on how to teach student philanthropy.- Pays invoices and does purchases for department.- Performs office duties such as: scheduling meetings, answering emails and phone calls, sorting mail, organizing files, approving time sheets, etc.- Trained in following programs: SAP, BEx Web Analyzer, STQRY (app creator), PCI DSS, IRB (Human Research), etc.

While I was a Student Assistant, I got to interact with my community daily. Through locating materials, giving recommendations, and getting materials to patrons on time, I was a key part in helping students to achieve their academic goals. I also helped faculty with planning courses through the books, media, documents they wanted checked out or ordered. Giving recommendations for fresh material allowed students to get the best education possible and give faculty a chance to try new teaching methods.While helping patrons, I also kept the library Media Department and Government Documents Department running smoothly by getting new materials logged and shelved, training new student hires, and keeping up with data entry. When wanting to help further the resources of Steely Library, I was a collaborator in a project to introduce new forms of educational media to allow our students and faculty to use.
