Senior Technology Research EngineerPaccar Sep 1998 - PresentBellevue, Wa, UsProjects I had been involved with during this period include:Microsoft HoloLens and HoloLens 2UbuntuVuzixCentOSThin Client evaluation Windows 10 Embedded Business to Business integration PoC - A project to determine a secure way to allow business partners connect securely to specific applications in our network be secure without a VPN. I recommended using x509 client certificates with an M-TLS connection with KCD (Kerberos Constrained Delegation) and protocol transition. This allowed the application to use Integrated Windows Authentication. We successfully deployed to a pilot group of PACCAR dealers.Kenworth Salesforce automation and access pilot project - We are deploying devices to the Kenworth sales team to determine how to increase business value.Windows NT 3.51 Windows Server 2019Windows - 10Active Directory on Windows 2000 - 2019Designed and built a truck simulatorWorked on the team that designed an built a prototype asset tracking system using Arduno Zigbee. I was the designer for the RF antenna systems including field testing.Designed and built a multi-site a Research network featuring dual stack IPv6 IPSec & GRE for connectivity & IPv4 using DM-VPN (IPSec, GRE, NHRP) for connectivity and BGP for routing. This network supports multiple different incubation production initiatives.Implemented Microsoft Surface Hub with Microsoft Teams and calendar integrationIPv6 implementation including subnets, routing (BGP), DHCP6, SLAAC, tunnelingDesigned and built a dynamic infrastructure to collect large amounts of data from remote vehicles and securely upload to a central server -
Technology Consultant, TechnologyPaccar Dec 2004 - Sep 2008Bellevue, Wa, Us• Active Directory R2I we actively researched implementing Windows 2003 R2 version of Active Directory. We have completed a project to replace our Domain Controller hardware with new x64 hardware and are implementing Windows 2003 R2 at the same time. I am working with Windows 2008. We upgraded the core Active Directory infrastructure at Paccar to Windows 2008 without any major disruptions.• Active Directory v2I had been following Windows 2003 when it was still beta. I was running it on several it on several test machines at Paccar as well as my home lab to see how it performed. We were so impressed with the beta that we convinced Paccar management to allow us to upgrade all Paccar Active Directory Domain Controllers and network infrastructure servers to Windows 2003 Server almost immediately after it was released to manufacturing. We also proposed and executed a top tier user domain consolidation. This has given Paccar a competitive advantage because we are running on the most reliable stable operating system available. This now allows us to focus on more important projects. This project required extensive travel to project sites on my part -

ConsultantMetro Information Services May 1997 - Sep 1998UsAssigned to work on site at Microsoft in the Windows Operating Systems Division. Did USB device driver testing for Windows 98 and Windows 2000. This included basic Kernel mode debugging using I386kd. Responsible for the setup and maintenance of WIN-WDM second tier NT4 domain. I made a suggestion to replace the 10 Mb shared Ethernet hub infrastructure at each lab station with 100Mb switched Ethernet which received favorably by my manager at Microsoft. He allowed me to execute upon it and this dramatically improved network performance for lab network users. -
