Hey there, glad you stopped by!In December 2021, I graduated with my MSc in Data Science from UNCW, where I previously received Bachelor's degrees in both Computer Science (with honors) and Mathematics in 2018--between these, I spent a few years pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at NC State University. My undergraduate thesis compared a number of varied computer vision techniques applied to microscopy images of neural tissue, in hopes of identifying signs of neurogenesis (specific cells and their density) therein. I also have spent time working in educational data mining and adapting systems for CS1 student support, as well as developing end-to-end systems for genotype-phenotype analysis in the biological sciences.In my free time, I have fallen in love with making games--in no small part due to my love of the Rust programming language--specifically, deeply intricate simulators and strategy games/toys. I am also a huge supporter of the Free and Open Source (FOSS) community, and try to contribute to projects where best I can, and am always working on at least a few of my own design!
