Southern Huskies Basketball was founded to compete for a new license in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL), as a Tasmanian based team.We established the brand, the foundation membership of 7,000 plus people, recruited 3 teams, employed coaches, back office staff and formed crucial partnerships with Basketball Tasmania and the State Government within the space of 3 months.We were accepted into 2 elite competitions in 2019 - New Zealand NBL & NBL1 women & men (new Vic elite league). It was the first time any Australian team, in any sport has been accepted into an elite sporting competition in NZ. We completed the 2019 season, narrowly missing finals with all 3 teams.As the COO, i handled all operational aspects of the business including recruitment, sponsorships, Government relations, BTAS partnership, led the Advisory Board, media, NBL bid and global partnerships in China, USA and Singapore.At the conclusion of the 2019 season, it was clear that the business case for an NBL team based in Tasmania was not viable moving forward and as we withdraw from all competitions.

I founded Digital Solar to provide a bespoke and focussed lead generation service to solar power businesses across South East Asia. Digital Solar is a full service digital agency able to supply all types of advertising media and solutions to the marketServices include: SEO, AdWords, Lead Generation, Web Design, Re Marketing, Social MediaIn 2017, I sold the business to a large International digital marketing business.

In 2008, the solar power market went through a revolution as supply prices started to fall and Government incentives began to rise. I founded Platinum Solar to focus on the commercial and industrial sectors as the market was being flooded with residential installation companies.Platinum Solar was a visionary business in this emerging market as we focussed on a full service offering with quality products, designers and installers. Beginning with a qualified energy audit, we designed, installed, maintained and managed our clients systems. This included all areas of energy management such as power factor correction, peak shaving and quarterly usage audits.In 2014, Platinum Solar designed and installed what was then Australia's largest privately funded system on Oxley College in Victoria. The distributed system of a combined 260kW's was built across 11 buildings on their campus.As CEO I was responsible for all aspect of the business. We specialised in building industry partnerships and became known as the trusted advisor / supplier in these sectors. The business was acquired in 2015.

After spending 8 years in Asia, I returned to Australia and saw a niche in the market with emergence of online sales to setup a National retail business in the hot water emergency break down / replacement market. When hot water system break, it is common to be discovered with the first shower or bath of the morning, when households are in a rush to get ready for the day ahead.I found that consumers were beginning to rely more on Google Search for immediate needs and were moving away from traditional methods such as calling their energy company or looking in the Yellow Pages.I established a National network of licensed installers and packaged together a supply and delivery service using local plumbing outlets to deliver the systems directly to the customers house within 4 hours. The installer then followed behind and completed the job.This business led me into the Solar Hot Water market and ultimately into solar power in 2008 where I leveraged my expertise and industry knowledge into my next venture, Platinum Solar.

Caroma Dorf is owned by GWA Bathrooms, a publicly listed business on the ASX. My position was in their International division which covered Asia, Africa, USA, Middle East and Pacific Islands.I was tasked with the establishment of their first ever offshore sales office, which we situated in Singapore. The markets that I held full responsibility for where Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia and also South Africa.I established distributor and retail networks across all markets and also built a large commercial specification book. I was responsible for managing all local product accreditation requirements with local Government bodies, marketing strategies, HR, public relations, finance, administration, trade shows, public speaking, sales and partner development.
