The Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery was created in 2013 to meet the strategic goals set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the $4 billion in assistance New York State received to recover from Hurricane Irene, Tropical Storm Lee (2011), super-storm Sandy (2012), winter storm Nemo and the Mohawk Valley floods (2013). The Organizational Systems & Performance department was created as an internal application development and access management unit to handle the needs of the various program area and shared services teams including human resources, legal and finance departments.As the Office 365 Architect, I am responsible for guiding our agency’s approach to leveraging the resources available to it on the New York State Office 365 Government G3 tenant. Working with teams of project managers, business analysts, developers and information security specialists, I provide valuable insight into leveraging Office 365 platform offerings and the standards established by New York State Information Technology Services. I champion the adoption of Office 365 services as appropriate for our business and guide the development of SharePoint solutions based on the SharePoint Development Framework.

As the SharePoint and Office 365 Manager, I have developed various solutions that leveraged out of the box functionality and customized development in SharePoint Designer. In 2017, I was certified by New York State to deliver SharePoint training, developing and delivering introductory and advanced learning sessions for Office 365, One Drive and SharePoint Online.To these ends the SharePoint Systems Manager applies project management expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings using the full spectrum of the SharePoint platform by facilitating business conversations, document requirements, user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as configure and troubleshoot SharePoint sites, security, forms and workflows. Management Information Systems, Project Manager New York, NYCurrently co-manage a team of application development resources for the Office of Medicaid Provider Fraud, Audit and Investigation. Across multiple SharePoint/SQL-based application projects written in C#, responsibilities include: documenting project plans in Microsoft Project across the entire project development lifecycle; reverse engineering Visio database diagrams; documenting business requirements with advanced templates in Word; creating process-flow Powerpoint presentations; manipulating data in Access; and managing time and clients with Outlook. Also the primary author of SQL-based Oracle 10g data warehouse reports using Discoverer 9g, E-READ reports and iSQL.

Consultant, Business Analyst / Project Manager New York, NYAs Team Lead assignment from 2000 to 2006, was responsible for: defining, documenting and re-engineering systems and business processes for Medicaid and Public Assistance collections; spearheading project design meetings and drafting system and user requirements: managing project goals and designing and implementing web-based solutions.Instructional Designer Ohio, New York, Virginia, New JerseyAs a Designer on a variety of training projects with state and local governments from 1999 through 2000, was responsible for: developing all aspects of classroom and online training using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, RoboHelp and Dreamweaver; analyzing client's needs and requirements and developing training strategy timelines; contacting external technology groups and coordinating technical support.

Network Operations Groton, CTResponsibilities focused on providing after-hours help desk and network support at Pfizer's Central Research Facility. Performed emergency file restores and resolved remote access problems for users around the world. Responsible for nightly network support, including data backup processing; server monitoring; hardware reboots; and emergency notification.

Hradec Králové, Czech RepublicTaught English at a variety of skill levels, from high school to adult. Hosted conversational English sessions for executives at the regional headquarters of Komercini Banka, the country's largest bank. Provided concise synopses of European Union environmental laws to a member of the Czech Ministry of the Environment. Conducted a monthly, week-long intensive English language seminar.

At the World Bank's Africa Technical Department, provided graphics and documentation for presentations in English and French, as well as edited and desktop-published a variety of departmental documents, from brochures to lengthy reports. Also responsible for creating and maintaining spreadsheets and other fiscal documentation for the department's financial officer. Managed executive travel arrangements and helped to raise over $15,000 as one of the department's United Way fundraising coordinators.
