I am currently working at Marie Oliver in design & product development in Greensboro, NC. My specialities are in apparel/technical design, development, pattern making and garment construction. I spent my Bachelors abroad at the Polytechnic University of Milan. In 2013, I received my BFA in International Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I was selected as the first F.I.T. graduate to show my senior thesis collection, 'QUIET the Contrary', at the London Graduate Fashion Week. My senior collection was also featured in Vogue Italia and Elle UK. Following graduation, I started an internship with Milanese designer, Andrea Incontri. I went on to be hired as an assistant menswear designer and in-house sample maker.Upon returning to the United States in 2014, I did doing freelance design and technical development for Oros LLC, a winter sports apparel start-up company. In July 2015, I was a resident at the month-long international artist residency, 'Sanctum Santorum' presented by the Animamus Art Salon. Throughout the residency I created a capsule collection called 'Halves of the Whole' and exhibited it along side my fellow artists at the closing exhibition. Throughout 2015, I collaborated with the Brooklyn artist, Ventiko, on a gown made from recycled materials for her performance art piece, 'Sylva Dean and Me'. The project was featured in the Vogue Italia photoshoot, 'Yes. It's Me. Susanna Bartsch', by Steven Klein for the January 2016 issue. The project was also presented during Armory Week's official events at Whitebox Gallery and the Select Art Fair in 2015. I am an incredibly versatile and creative professional with a broad design sensibility. My work spans into areas of fiber/material arts, textile design and multi-media collage. I have boundless enthusiasm for what I do and I am excited to have this opportunity to share my skills within such a legendary and iconic company.
