Transferring from community college, during the peak of the pandemic, I began my undergraduate at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, I was given the opportunity to work on a number of projects utilizing software for computation calculation. Dipping my toes into CMS (Computational Material Science), I was able to measure bandgap structure of different materials using programs such as OVITO, VESTA, and Quantum Expresso. Later presenting my finding at SURC (SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference), one of many conference I would attend. This was only an appetizer for the remaining years to come, I worked intimately with ANSYS & Theoretic Computation Fluid Dynamics. The first project focusing on a virtual twin used to simulate the SiCoNi Wafer cleaning process, and the second project a virtual twin for a nanomaterial testing chamber.After graduating, I accepted a position at Gil-Bar, a company centered around HVAC solutions. This fast paced environment has provided an amazing whetstone to sharpen my tools with. My experience with selecting a vast variety of HVAC equipment from industry leaders (AAON, JCI, IEC, and Hatchi) has allowed me to move onto another important role in the MEP process. Accepting a position at AKF's Mechanical Commisioning team, I continue to work towards mastering the systems that we share our spaces with.With passion anything can be achieved!
