Michael is a recent Engineer-In-Training, hosting experience in mechatronics, systems engineering, and embedded hardware/software design. Currently employed as an EIT with OrbSurgical, Michael has contributed towards the realization of NeuroArmPLUS HD, a Tele-capable robotics workstation built towards improving microsurgical procedures. His responsibilities have required skills in mechanical design, CAD/ECAD, electrical planning for PCB and control cabinet design, PLC programming, engineering/manufacturing documentation, and various software automation projects.Previously, as a 4-year member of Schulich Racing, Michael had roles on both the Powertrain sub-team, and as a Electric Vehicle Lead in his final year of university. As a 16-month Intern at Aurora Wireless Networks, he contributed by developing automated software validation suites, optimizing run-time efficiency, embedded software design, and designing hardware solutions for various projects.Outside of his professional endeavors, Michael has made significant efforts to academia as an Engineering Learning Assistant and Contract Tutor at the University of Calgary, nurturing a passion for science and mathematics from grade 7 to undergraduate level.
