As part of Pre-Opening Team of the Hotel, Assists the Director of Engineering in: Developing and Implementing Maintenance Programs-involves creating programs for regular upkeep and maintenance of the hotel facilities. Ensuring compliance of any Government permit and or certificate including safety regulations and standards. Overseeing Engineering Team including hiring appropriate technical hands and their duty schedules.Budget Control-monitoring and controlling the engineering budget. Preventive Maintenance and Repair Schedules-developing and implementing preventive maintenance and repair schedules for the hotel machinery,equipment and othe facilities.Review and Project Punchlist- reviewing and punchlisting projects during the hotel construction before it is accepted.Collate all plans and other Equipment manuals be it Mechanical, Electrical,Civil,Plumbing for Engineeniring Reference.

Under the guidance and supervision of The Chief Engineer and within the limits established by Manila Pavilion Hotel policies and procedures and Manuals, AssistsThe Chief Engineer in running the operations by supervising and managing Maintenance and Duty Engineers including Plant Technicians for safe and efficient Operation and maintenance of Hotel Equipments.Coordinates with various Department Heads for their department needs that warrant engineering support for their efficient disposal of duties and functions.Submits monthly MMR to the General Manager.Monitors Utilities consumptions and taking notes on any deviation that may arise.Monitors,Reviews PM records and accomplishments done on all electro-mechanical equipments.Prepares, Devices PM programs appropriate for any equipment.Sets and makes appropriate standards for guidance ( in PM and Equipment Operation ).

Under the guidance and supervision of the Area Director of Engineering and Hotel Manager and within the limits established by Shangri-La Hotel Makati policies,procedures and Fire and Life Safety manual,takes direct supervision of the hotel’s Fire and Life Safety equipments ITM( inspection,testing,maintenance) including performing FLS audit( with ADOE) in other Shangri-La properties( Traders, Edsa Shangri-La), Implementation of programs such as Hazard Identification and Elimination(Fire Prevention),Fire Evacuation plan, Crisis management plan etc. to ensure that zero fire incident and zero casualty can be attained at all times in the hotel.Works also include liasing with contractors re: correction of SLIM audit within the specified time frame for high risk and non compliance issues.It also calls for monthly reports such as ADOE’s FLSM monthly report to be updated and submitted to SLIM( Shangri-La International Management).

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Asst. Chief Engineer and within the limits established by Shangri-La Hotel Makati policies,procedures and engineering manual, supervises the safe and economical operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical equipment of the building during the shift.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Leads the shift team2. Motivates employees by providing positive feedback and reinforcement,listening effectively and seeking out employee’s concern and offering assistance.3. Coaches,counsels,disciplines employees4. Determines priorities,sets goals and controls shift attendance5. Under the general guidance and supervision of the Duty Engineer and within the limits established by Shangri-La Hotel Makati policies,procedures and engineering manual,tends,operates,repairs and maintains all hotel Electro-Mechanical equipment.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Performs troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical equipment2. Acts/attends to resolve guest’s complaints related to engineering.3. Conducts preventive maintenance on all hotel sets of equipment.4. Checks and troubleshoots electrical controls such as auto alternating sump and transfer pumps,line system faults,electro-pneumatic controls,kitchen,bakery andLaundry equipments. 5. Reports readings in the electrical control room( current,voltage,power factor,demand factor, Kw-hr etc.)6

Job Summary:Under the supervision and guidance of an expat Chief Engineer,supervises plant operation,electrical repair and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:1. Troubleshoots Donkey and Cargo boilers2. Troobleshoots reefer control system3. Assists electrician on deck electronic troubleshooting ( i.e. cargo pump motors and controls, intrinsic control relay )4. Assists in radar and tyfon maintenance5. Troubleshoots heavy fuel oil separators and desalinators6. Overhauls motors and air reduction system for pneumatic control of bridge to engine telegraph7. 1. Inspects the implementation of detailed electrical plan of Shangri-La Hotel project2. Coordinates with various contractors for the smooth implementation of site Instructions.3. Conducts actual insulation tests on cables and busduct risers.4. Supervises the implementation of additional electrical works such as point of sales power supply rack.

1. Schedules and supervises the implementation of preventive maintenance of all operational heavy equipments.2.
